The Real Housewives of the AFC South Designed the Rivalry Uniforms

Four cities. Four redesigns. Four bold fashion statements!

The NFL and Nike unveiled the 2026 Rivalries uniforms for the AFC South and NFC North. Each team will wear its new look during one home game against a division opponent. The uniforms then remain in the rotation for three years.

The official explanation involves community, culture, and local identity. That sounds nice. It also sounds suspiciously responsible.

We obtained the real story from a source who asked to remain anonymous because she is currently trapped beneath a champagne tower. The AFC South uniforms were created during a yet unaired season episode of The Real Housewives of the AFC South.

Meet the Cast

Tammy-Lynn Voltage of Nashville believes every garment needs fringe, sequins, and a chorus. Her personal motto is, “If the stadium lights cannot see you from space, you are underdressed.”

Brooke DeMare-Smythe of Indianapolis owns three med spas and a decorative anvil. She describes her taste as “industrial elegance,” which appears to mean black leather furniture with crystals glued to it.

Kiki Duval of Jacksonville has never met a beige outfit she could not cover in animal print. She arrived three hours late because she was “waiting for the humidity to respect her hair.”

Mercedes Carrington of Houston entered the meeting in an all-white pantsuit, chrome heels, and sunglasses large enough to receive local television. She did not introduce herself. She introduced her jeweler.

Nashville: Music City Matrimony

Tammy-Lynn began with a navy football uniform. For almost six seconds, everything was under control.

Then she added glowing powder-blue numbers inspired by Broadway neon. Six crystal-covered stripes crossed each shoulder to represent guitar strings. Silver fringe hung from the sleeves because, according to Tammy-Lynn, “speed is temporary, but movement is glamorous.”

The centerpiece was a jeweled belt buckle roughly the size of a compact sedan that would make Elvis jealous. League officials raised concerns about weight, mobility, and whether it could legally be classified as a second helmet.

Tammy-Lynn dismissed the criticism.

“The buckle is not too large,” she said. “The offensive line is too small.”

Her helmet featured powder-blue flames, chrome trim, and enough reflective material to briefly interfere with airport traffic.

Uniform name: Music City Meltdown

Best feature: The numbers can be seen from the upper deck and possibly Kentucky.

Biggest concern: The shoulder fringe may record three unassisted tackles.

Indianapolis: Anvil After Dark

Brooke rejected the traditional Colts look because it was “too football.” She wanted something that said Indianapolis, but also whispered that the wearer might deny you entry to a nightclub.

Her uniform used glossy black, anthracite, royal-blue chrome, and embossed ironwork. Horseshoes appeared on the helmet, waist, knees, shoulders, and several places that remained visible only during a medical examination.

The crystal double stripes were described as a tribute to Colts history. They were actually a tribute to Brooke’s kitchen backsplash.

When a designer explained that football uniforms need to stretch, breathe, and survive contact, Brooke stared at him as if he had just brought a grocery-store cake to a vow renewal.

“Anvils do not breathe,” she replied. “Anvils make statements.”

Uniform name: Anvil After Dark

Best feature: It looks indestructible.

Biggest concern: It also looks dry-clean only.

Houston: H-Town High Maintenance

Mercedes wanted Houston’s uniform to combine custom-car culture, rodeo glamour, street mosaics, and “the emotional clarity of a jewelry store.”

The result was brilliant white with H-Town blue numbers, battle-red shadows, chrome trim, jeweled tile patterns, and red/blue/white fringe. Lots of it! The helmet received a pale-blue chrome facemask and a horn design made from enough rhinestones to require its own insurance policy.

Mercedes also requested rotating chrome details on the cleats. The equipment staff explained that spinning rims would not improve traction.

“Neither does being poor,” she answered.

Nobody knew what that meant, but production used it in the trailer.

The uniform was pristine, loud, and capable of reflecting every mistake made by the opposing quarterback.

Uniform name: H-Town High Maintenance

Best feature: The chrome finish doubles as a sideline mirror.

Biggest concern: One grass stain could lower the resale value by $14,000.

Jacksonville: Bold City Beige

Kiki did not bring sketches. She entered with a garment bag, two assistants, and the relaxed confidence of a woman who had already charged the entire project to somebody else’s credit card.

“I wanted Jacksonville to feel understated,” she announced.

She unzipped the bag and revealed a white jersey over black pants covered in subtle black-on-black cat spots. A teal stripe ran down each leg with gold trim. Kiki called it cheetah print. A league designer quietly corrected her.

“Jaguar print.”

Kiki nodded. “Same tax bracket.”

Her actual Jaguars Rivalries design continued with a glossy teal helmet bearing a “904” mark and a striking gold facemask. The chest carried a cursive “Jaguars” script because block lettering, according to Kiki, looked “like something a public school would use.” The collar read “Since ’95,” while the spots on the pants secretly contained the names of Jacksonville neighborhoods.

“The pants represent the entire city,” Kiki explained. “Also, they make your thighs look dangerous.”

Brooke slowly removed her sunglasses.

Tammy-Lynn stopped bedazzling a mouthguard.

Mercedes asked why Kiki had stolen her gold facemask idea before remembering that she had never actually suggested one.

The commissioner studied the white jersey, black spotted legs, teal helmet, gold facemask, cursive chest script, and hidden municipal geography. Over a half a dozen odd things that shouldn’t go together and they don’t.

“Is this still a prototype?” he asked.

Kiki smiled.

“No, darling. This is the official uniform. It’s ‘Bold City!’”

“What’s ‘Bold City?’,” asked the commissioner.

Kiki waved her hands like a magician, “There isn’t one!”

The room went silent again. Tennessee, Indianapolis, and Houston had created three fictional monuments to bad judgment. Kiki had somehow designed the real Jacksonville Rivalries uniform and convinced the league to manufacture it.

On a solid note, Kiki did not go with her idea of a two-toned colored helmet. That would have been too trashy.

Uniform name: Bold City Glow-Up

Best feature: The gold facemask looks expensive enough to have its own prenup.

Biggest concern: The neighborhood names hidden in the cat spots may technically make the pants a zoning map.

The committee approved Kiki’s design exactly as presented. There was nothing left to add. Jacksonville had already reached maximum trophy-wife density without a single strand of fringe.

The NFL wanted Rivalries uniforms rooted in local culture. The AFC South gave us neon, anvils, chrome, and beachfront leopard print. Whether the designs are brilliant, hideous, or both depends on your team allegiance and how many mimosas you had before the reveal.

One thing is certain. Somewhere in Duval County, a fictional trophy wife is furious that Nike stole her look.
